Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our
services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil
construction, and site development for government and state
agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a
wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges,
power plants, dams, reservoirs, underground utilities, site
development, and more. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY The Site Safety
Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of
all employees and contractors working on construction and
industrial services projects. This position plays a crucial role in
supporting the successful execution of projects by implementing and
enforcing safety standards and protocols set by AIS Infrastructure.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement safety
policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state,
and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and
audits to identify hazards and potential risks in the workplace.
Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety
measures are integrated into project plans and activities. Provide
safety training and orientation to employees and contractors,
emphasizing the importance of safe work practices and proper use of
personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigate accidents,
incidents, and near-miss situations, and prepare detailed reports
with recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain accurate
records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and
safety-related communications. Conduct job hazard analyses to
identify and address potential risks associated with specific tasks
or job sites. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety
programs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective
measures. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and
regulatory changes related to safety in construction and industrial
services. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and
stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety requirements and
maintain positive relationships. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &
ABILITIES Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety programs and
site safety management. Experience with heavy civil/horizontal
construction projects involving excavation and earth moving, heavy
concrete, underground utilities, etc. is important. Professional
certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred. Ability
to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured
facilities, including military bases. Bachelor's degree in
Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering,
or a related field preferred. In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and
other relevant safety regulations. Familiarity with safety
management systems and software. Strong knowledge of construction
and industrial safety regulations and best practices. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with
employees, contractors, and stakeholders. Ability to lead and
facilitate safety training sessions and meetings. Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards and develop
effective solutions. Attention to detail and ability to enforce
safety protocols consistently. Construction Quality Control
experience is a big plus. Travel Travel to project sites and client
