Job Description Job Description The Preschool Center Lead
supports the Center Director in overseeing daily operations of the
preschool. This role ensures classrooms meet high standards of
safety, supervision, curriculum implementation, and family
communication. The Center Lead acts as the on-site point person for
staff support, parent concerns, and operational needs when the
Director is unavailable. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Center
Operations Manage daily center flow, including opening/closing the
school. Ensure classroom ratios are met at all times; provide
coverage when needed. Monitor attendance, sign-in/sign-out
procedures, and classroom transitions. Maintain a clean, safe, and
organized environment throughout the center. 2. Classroom &
Curriculum Support Observe classrooms regularly to ensure
curriculum, routines, and teaching standards are followed. Support
teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and
developmental milestones. Step in to assist in classrooms during
staff shortages or high-need moments. 3. Health, Safety & Licensing
Compliance Ensure all licensing, health, and safety standards are
consistently met. Assist in conducting monthly safety checks,
incident reporting, and compliance documentation. Maintain
emergency supplies, medication logs, and allergy lists. 4. Staff
Leadership & Development Provide coaching, support, and daily
guidance to teachers and aides. Help with staff scheduling, breaks,
and task delegation. Assist in training and onboarding new hires.
Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work
environment. 5. Family Communication & Customer Service Greet
families, answer questions, and address concerns in a timely, warm,
and professional manner. Support center tours, re-enrollment
discussions, and school events. Communicate daily updates or
classroom issues to families as needed. 6. Administrative Duties
Assist with documentation, incident and accident reports, and staff
timecard checks. Help maintain inventory of classroom supplies and
submit requests when needed. Support director with enrollment
tracking, staff schedules, and operational tasks. Qualifications
High school diploma required; CDA or ECE coursework preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a licensed preschool or
childcare program. Strong understanding of early childhood
development and state licensing requirements. Excellent
communication, leadership, and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid
certification (or willingness to obtain). Work Schedule Full-time;
must be available for opening or closing shifts based on center
