Responsibilities Summary of Position Maintenance Technicians will
repair/maintain all production/facility equipment and perform
project work. This position requires a high regard for safety at
all times in performing any tasks associated with working for
Harris Products Group. Performs as Lead Person for Maintenance. Key
Deliverables Works safely and supports safety within their team
across the organization. Completes weekly maintenance schedule and
makes safe, quality & timely repairs to ensure weekly production
schedule is completed. Supports lean initiatives to facilitate team
goals/metrics. Participates in team meetings and works on cost
savings projects. Key Accountability Metrics Safety metrics,
Production schedule completion percentage, Work order completion
percentage, PMs completion percentage, Breakdown man hour
utilization percentage, Production OEE, EBITB. Key
Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Include the following and
other duties maybe assigned. Works safely and supports safety
within their team and across the organization Scheduled Maintenance
– 50% - Completes weekly maintenance schedule - Performs
preventative maintenance on equipment - Schedule repairs of
equipment - Performs fabrication, pipe fitting, welding, brazing &
soldering - Operates material handling equipment, scissor lift and
manipulating man lift when needed - Works on team projects, Six
Sigma projects and provides support for other team meetings and
projects. - Correctly fills our work orders and time sheets
Breakdown Maintenance – 10% - Observes operation of equipment,
troubleshoots abnormalities, dismantles equipment to gain access,
determines faulty parts, requisitions parts, reassembles equipment,
tests and runs out, makes sure equipment is in good, safe working
operation and returns it to production. - Assist in maintaining
repair parts inventory & supplies - Communicates pertinent
information to supervisor. - Trains personnel from other
departments to recognize problems and issues with equipment. Safety
Training, Team Meetings & Lean concepts – 5% - Participates in
safety training and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all
times - Attends team meetings - Utilizes lean tools: 5s, visual
factory concepts in maintaining order and cleanliness Performs Lead
Responsibilities – 35% - Coordinates the duties of other
Maintenance Technicians. - Responsibilities for securing the
facility. - Schedules weekend maintenance support. - Supports and
enforces all Company policies and procedures. - Performs all
responsibilities in a consistent, reliable and professional manner.
- Sets a positive example for all employees and encourages
teamwork. - Provides an environment which fosters good morale among
fellow employees. - Establishes and maintains sound communications
with team, other employees and management. - Assists and supports
coworkers in resolving work related issues. - Makes on the spot
corrections of any unsafe acts. - Knows, understands and
effectively utilizes the various tools of Lean Manufacturing to
support and lead the continuous improvement efforts. Job
Requirements Required - - High school diploma or general education
degree (GED); and three or more years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -
Excellent trouble shooting skills in PLCs, electrical, mechanical,
hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and
support equipment. - Able to read and understand electrical,
mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints - Understand ladder
logic for relays and PLCs - Must be computer literate - Experienced
in welding, fabricating and pipe fitting. - Operate material
handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift
Preferred- - Associates Degree in Technical Studies - Experience
with Lean tools - Familiar with Allen Bradley PLCs, SLC, Micro
Logix and Control Logix - Familiar with Logix 500, Logix 5000 and
RSLinx - Familiar with operation of HMIs (touch screens) - Be able
to install and set up AC & DC drives - Familiar with NEC as applies
to Industrial applications - Familiar with Fanuc Robotics
Programming/Troubleshooting and Repair - Familiar with Mazak CNC
and Fanuc Controls Troubleshooting and Repair Lincoln Electric is
