**POSITION SUMMARY:** The National Accounts Manager will have direct account responsibility to grow the business through strategic planning and high customer engagement to align customer plans with our growth initiatives. As a National Account Manager, the focus will be on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across flow control, transport, service, and repair products. Core planning and selling activities include: + Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers + Identifying and managing interactions with an assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities + Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high-quality customer service + Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts + Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends Incumbents in this specialization may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners **PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Increase sales revenue by growing within an existing customer base while balancing the needs of the customer and the company in terms of its profitability, volume, pricing, and forecast requirements + Monitor and respond to market and competitor intelligence at key accounts + Analyze buying trends to suggest reorders or line extensions + Provide customer service, follow-up, and support to build deep significant relationships with customers + Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare and then conduct formal presentations + Use data to create useful insights including product gap opportunities + Compile and analyze daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales data to forecast and prepare long-term potential sales growth opportunities + Able to travel up to 35% to visit customer sites, and plants, attend meetings/training, and/or participate in trade shows/events + Perform other related duties as needed and assigned **ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:** + Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem-solving skills + Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced level MS Excel user + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams + Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines + Demonstrated ability to motivate change and continuous improvement; track record leading and implementing sustainable process improvements, seeking out and implementing internal or external standard processes + Strong project management skills required + Able to lift up to 30 lbs **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:** + Experience selling into OEM / Applied Products + Leadership and Influence + Presentation + Negotiation **BrassCraft Manufacturing Company:** BrassCraft is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, plumbing service and repair parts, and drain cleaning and plumbing hand tools for the new construction and repair/remodel markets.
