and excellence.About the RoleAs the Foundation Relationship
Director, you will play a key role in managing high-level,
strategic partnerships with foundation funders, driving revenue
growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of grant-funded
initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Foundation Account
Relationships, this position offers a unique opportunity to
directly influence the future of BGCA's foundation relationships,
collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve
fundraising goals and maximize impact.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll
Do
- Lead High-Level Partnerships: Manage strategic foundation
relationships and oversee a $30M+ portfolio of partnerships. Ensure
flawless execution and satisfaction of deliverables for all
grants.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to
secure additional revenue from existing partners or establish new
foundation partnerships as appropriate.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Serve as the internal liaison for all
BGCA teams, ensuring alignment and coordination to meet grant
deliverables and drive successful outcomes for our partners.
- Grant Renewal & Stewardship: Lead the grant renewal process,
working with national directors and the foundation fundraising team
to meet annual targets and ensure long-term partnership
sustainability.
- Develop Business & Fundraising Plans: Create and manage
comprehensive annual business plans that include budgets,
timelines, event calendars, and metrics, ensuring all stakeholders
are aligned.
- Monitor & Report on Finances: Ensure the financial health of
partnerships by tracking budgets, reporting on performance, and
mitigating risks.
- Create Custom Stewardship Plans: Design and implement dynamic
stewardship strategies that deepen partner engagement and maximize
impact.
- Communicate Impact: Partner with the communications team to
highlight the success and impact of foundation grants, ensuring
stories are shared with both internal and external audiences.
- Track and Maintain CRM: Ensure all interactions with partners
are tracked in the CRM to maintain clear, up-to-date records of
engagement.QualificationsWho You Are
- Experienced in Foundation & Major Gifts Fundraising: You have
at least seven years of experience successfully developing and
managing a portfolio of foundation partners, securing and
stewarding major gifts.
- Strategic Relationship Builder: Your expertise includes
managing complex, high-level relationships with both external
partners and internal teams, always working toward a shared
goal.
- Strong Communicator & Writer: You excel in crafting persuasive
and clear proposals, reports, and business plans, and you can
communicate complex information in an engaging and effective
manner.
- Highly Organized & Results-Driven: You have exceptional
organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in
environments where multiple projects are happening at once, and you
can prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Financially Savvy: You bring solid business and financial
acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, track performance
metrics, and analyze financial data.
- Collaborative & Innovative: You enjoy working
cross-functionally and bringing creative solutions to the table
that drive impact and improve outcomes.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using various tools such as
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project
management software, and donor databases (Salesforce
preferred).

development.Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing,
non-profit studies, business, or a related field, or equivalent
experience.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in foundation
relationship management, major gifts fundraising, or a similar
field.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams,
manage multiple projects, write compelling proposals and reports,
and build long-term strategic partnerships.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including
