This sposition is located at Wellstar's Cobb Pediatric and Adolescent Center in Smyna.--Wellstar PediatricsFrom sniffles to cardiac care, Wellstar is a comprehensive resource for kids' health, and parents' peace of mind. Our goal is exceptional care close to home. New services include pediatric neurology, urology and outpatient orthopedic surgery. Our full-service Pediatric Center received a 97% patient satisfaction score. 200,000+ pediatric primary care visits annually!--The Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor and Practice Manager. The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance and provides care for the patient under the physician's direction. This includes preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in medical record. The LPN assists with patient and family education and demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages including infant, child and adolescent populations. QualificationsRequired Minimum Education: Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
