Job Description:

Job Title: Instrument Technician (Allied) Location: Canton, GA Contract Type: Travel (13-Week Contract) Shift Type: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday – Friday Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Reprocess surgical instruments to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper functioning of all equipment used in instrument reprocessing. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sterilization cycles and instrumentation. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines when handling and preparing instruments for surgery. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure instruments are sterile, functional, and available when needed. Ensure inventory management for surgical instruments, including organizing and restocking as necessary. Follow established protocols to ensure the quality and safety of reprocessed instruments. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician or in a similar role within sterile processing. HSPA Certification (preferred). Ability to work the scheduled shift of 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday to Friday . Experience with sterilization and reprocessing of surgical instruments is required. Must be able to work independently, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. (local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered).
