Pay Information $1,810 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Acute Care Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Less than 1 year preferred License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Basic Life Support certification, RN License Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported through a Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by Core Values. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed and knowledgeable. They uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. The Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards are implemented as put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient and system policies and procedures. They support service excellence goals. The RN performs the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in clinical care. They complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required mandatory education. The RN serves as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses. The RN participates in data collection and poses relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice.
