Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OB/GYN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP appreciated, ACLS Must-Have: IV placement NG tube placement Fundal checks Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for an OB/GYN specialty. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Med-Surg, postpartum, and pediatrics. Experience with medical-surgical patients is required due to low birth rates. You will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population including geriatrics, pediatrics, adults, and postpartum patients. Ideal candidates should be team players and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Common diagnoses include bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, and postpartum care. The position requires rotating weekend hours and floating to other Med-Surg units as needed. Dress code consists of scrubs in any color, and specific attire regulations must be followed. Patient ratios are approximately 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Experience with electronic health records is essential. The number of beds on the unit is limited to 14.
