Permanent Opportunity: Acute Care Surgeon Needed (Near Douglasville, GA) Are you a dedicated and board-certified Acute Care General Surgeon seeking a rewarding permanent position in a supportive hospital setting near Douglasville, GA? We're actively searching for a skilled surgeon to join our established Surgical Group and provide high-quality surgical care to a diverse patient population. Job ID: j-230178 Make a Difference in Your Community: Provide comprehensive surgical care to inpatients and emergency department patients, including consults, transfers, and referrals from critical access hospitals. Perform a broad range of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgeries, utilizing your expertise to improve patient outcomes. Collaborate effectively with a team of experienced general surgeons, advanced practice providers (APPs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Contribute to the overall success of the Surgical Group by upholding high standards of quality and patient satisfaction. Predictable Schedule & Supportive Environment: Maintain a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with regular business hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy minimal call coverage requirements, with weekend call responsibilities split evenly among general surgeons in the group. Integrate into a supportive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and professional development. Qualifications: Degree: A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical or osteopathic school is mandatory. Licensure: An unrestricted Georgia medical license, or the ability to obtain one, is required. Training: Residency training in General Surgery is essential. Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery is a must. Experience: A proven track record of performing a wide range of general surgery procedures and acute care surgeries is necessary.
