Job Title: RN Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: OR RN Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7:15 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: 3 years of circulating experience License: Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor Must-Have: - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment - Excellent time management skills - Strong critical thinking skills - Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care Description: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. This team includes licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients and families receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The role is supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core competencies. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed and knowledgeable. They must uphold the practice of nursing as outlined in the Professional Nurse Practice Act. These professionals implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the relevant nursing association. As a member of the patient services team, the individual must uphold the voice of the patient and system policies.
