Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A surgical nursing opportunity is available for experienced Operating Room Technicians specializing in orthopedics and spine procedures. This contract role is based in a busy surgical hospital with 11 OR suites and 1 GI suite, managing 30 to 50 cases daily. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and arthroscopic procedures, alongside familiarity with advanced surgical technology including robotic systems. Key Responsibilities: Support surgeons during orthopedic and spine surgeries such as TLIF, PLIF, decompressions, cervical fusions, and arthroscopy. Assist with hand and foot cases in the operating room. Utilize equipment including the Mako Robot and other robotic surgical systems. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, sterile technique, and patient care standards. Adhere to facility policies including badging in/out and dress code compliance. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years recent orthopedic or spine ORT experience. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Experience with total joints and spine surgeries including TLIF, PLIF, and arthroscopic procedures. Experience using robotic surgical technology preferred. Must disclose any prior employment with Sanford Health; a minimum of 6 months gap since last service required if previously employed. Schedule & Work Environment: 10 or 12-hour shifts. No call or weekend shifts. Floating between OR suites when necessary. Scrubs provided on-site.
