Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/Thoracic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and night shift availability. Details - Work in a Pulmonary/Thoracic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital setting - Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, varies - 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week - 13-week contract - No on-call requirements Requirements - Active RN license — GA or Compact license required - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — all must be AHA-issued and non-expired - Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pulmonary/Thoracic or PCU specialty - Step-down unit or ICU background preferred; strong acute care experience will be considered - Driver's license required for consideration Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - Former permanent staff returning as travel nurses must have a minimum 2-year break before being considered - Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is extended - An interview or pre-screening call should be expected as part of the hiring process American Traveler Job ID P-679535.
