Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Principal
Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of
scalable Workday Financials integrations and solutions across the
enterprise. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong
business acumen to ensure seamless connectivity between Workday and
other enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on
integration expert who thrives in complex environments, mentors
others, and drives innovation through well-architected solutions
and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and
maintain integrations between Workday Financials and other internal
or external systems using tools such as Workday Studio, Core
Connectors, EIB, and Cloud Connect. Lead technical solutioning and
integration architecture discussions to ensure alignment with
business and IT strategy. Partner with Finance, Accounting, and
Technology teams to gather and analyze integration requirements and
translate them into detailed technical specifications. Develop and
maintain custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and
transformation logic to support business processes and analytics.
Oversee integration testing, error handling, and performance tuning
to ensure stable and efficient data exchanges. Serve as a technical
mentor to junior engineers, fostering collaboration, skill growth,
and best practice adoption. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
related to data integrations, system configurations, and
performance optimization. Stay current on Workday releases, new
integration capabilities, and emerging tools to proactively
identify opportunities for improvement. Required Skills &
Experience 7 years of experience in Workday Financials development,
configuration, and integration. Deep expertise with Workday
Integration technologies, including EIB, Workday Studio, Core
Connectors, and Cloud Connect. Strong understanding of Workday
Financials modules such as Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, General Ledger, and Revenue Management. Proven
experience integrating Workday with third-party vendors and
enterprise applications. Solid grasp of enterprise financial
processes including Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C),
and Procure-to-Pay (P2P). Experience leading or mentoring technical
staff and promoting development best practices. Skilled in Agile
and Waterfall delivery methodologies and familiarity with
collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and
ServiceNow. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with
the ability to translate complex technical topics for business
audiences. Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience providing
technical leadership or oversight for medium-to-large enterprise
integration projects. Experience supporting global or multi-entity
Workday environments. Familiarity with API integrations, middleware
platforms, and data transformation frameworks. Exposure to data
governance, access management, and system security best practices.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Systems, or a related technical discipline—or
