from home or the office. SUMMARY: The Collateral Specialist I
supports lien perfection and timely release of collateral while
ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role
assists with title and UCC filings, maintains accurate data in core
and tracking systems, and provides responsive support to members
and internal teams. In addition, the position identifies
controllable errors and promotes continuous improvement to enhance
efficiency and the overall member experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with lien perfection and release by
preparing and mailing required forms and documentation. Facilitate
title and UCC filings; ensure accuracy before submission to state
agencies. Secure and manage original collateral documents (titles,
deeds, satisfactions) in a controlled file room; maintain accurate
records of transfers to offsite storage. Maintain title application
data in core banking and title tracking systems; release liens
within required timeframes. Receive, sort, and process all incoming
and outgoing mail, including courier and USPS items, for Lending
Operations. Respond to member and internal inquiries regarding
titles, UCC filings, and related documentation. Review reports to
ensure collateral security is maintained and identify controllable
errors. Support process improvements to reduce errors and enhance
efficiency. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and training
requirements; update documentation promptly when revisions are
needed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATIONAL
AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent
required, associate’s degree or recent work experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience or relevant education.
Knowledge of consumer lending required. Ability to understand each
states regulations and rules in regards to securing a title.
Ability to operate loan processing system, computer, calculator,
telephone and other equipment as needed. Knowledge of
software/computer systems required to complete job duties – Fiserv
DNA, Nautilus, Word, Excel etc. Competence with use of the Internet
and Credit Union Intranet. ADDITIONAL/ IMPORTANT SKILLSETS: Open to
learning new processes and methods, a willingness to do what it
takes to complete the task at hand with tenacity. Provide first
contact-resolution, with positivity and poise to anticipate all
needs of the requestor. Maturity, Self-Awareness, and tact when

written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform
this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each
essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to
communicate face to face or through technology with or without
reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment
(well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at
a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for
various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical
office duties on various forms of technology are required.
