Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and enhance ServiceNow capabilities across the platform. This role will focus heavily on Service Catalog development, custom application build out, and integrations with enterprise systems. The ideal candidate is hands on, technically strong, and comfortable partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Service Catalog items, record producers, workflows, UI policies, and client scripts 2. Build and enhance custom ServiceNow applications using scoped applications and best practice architecture 3. Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and scripted integrations 4. Write clean, efficient server side and client side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, etc.) 5. Collaborate with product owners, process owners, and platform architects to refine requirements and technical designs 6. Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and upgrade readiness 7. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, defects, and performance concerns 8. Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing optimization efforts 9. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Participate in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of Truist's most complex solutions. 2. Development includes but is not limited to customized coding, software integration, analysis, configuring solutions, or use tools pertinent to the area, project, or system to configure or generate a solution. 3. Ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations. 4. Write and run unit tests. 5. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. 6. Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices. 7. Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. 8. Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical expertise. 9. Does not have management responsibilities. This position serves as the technical expert on the team and is often the strongest engineer, answering and solving the most complex, unusual issues, but does not have the skills nor the interest in management. Therefore, in the technical industry and many companies, this position is often aligned at the same level as an entry level manager. This creates a career path for an individual contributor to remain as an individual contributor and does not have to seek a management role for promotion/pay. 10. In an Agile environment: Act as an Agile champion. Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and consulting with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories. Responsible for development and developing unit testing, and supporting integration and functional testing. Responsible for providing warranty support and providing knowledge transfer to production support. Develop code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner. Qualifications Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree and eight to twelve years of experience as a developer or equivalent education and related training or experience 2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge 3. Ability to lead complex projects 6. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems 7. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective Preferred Qualifications: 1. 5 years of hands?on ServiceNow development experience 2. Strong experience with: · Service Catalog and Request Fulfillment · Custom application development (scoped apps) · Integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server) 3. Proficiency in: · JavaScript · Glide API · Flow Designer and/or legacy workflows 4. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models 5. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions 6. Strong troubleshooting and problem?solving skills 7. ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS – Application Development) 8. Experience with additional modules such as: · ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, WSD, ECP or SecOps 9.
