Job Description:

We are an established family law and criminal defense firm located in downtown Atlanta. We are experts at helping clients charged with criminal cases or breaking families of all backgrounds establish parenting time and divide assets, debts, and property during the most difficult time of their lives. We are seeking a paralegal, eager to handle the multi-faceted areas of criminal defense or family law cases within our fast-growing firm. Responsibilities:
--- Manage case from inception to conclusion
--- Manage the movement of cases through the courts
--- Draft pleadings, motions, and orders
--- Complete financial documents such as child support worksheets, DRFA's, and marital asset sheets
--- Research and brief legal issues
--- Prepare exhibits for court and mediation
--- Prepare trial and mediation notebook
--- Assist attorney in court as needed
--- Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and court personnel
--- Train junior paralegals

Qualifications:
--- 3 solid years of experience with family law drafting and research
--- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
--- Excellent communication with clients
--- Complete assigned tasks timely
--- Exceptional time management skills
--- Works well with a team
