Job Description:

Job Description THERAPIST Therapist assesses individual/family needs and provides direct in-home, clinical treatment/therapeutic counseling as appropriate to children, adolescents, parents/guardians and/or groups to address individual/family issues and mental health. Therapist develops treatment plans; implements interventions; reviews outcomes; revisits/revises strategies as appropriate; and employs other methods compatible with agency principles, practices and policies. Therapist engages client, supports, caregivers and other key participants in active, change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement. Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) is a plus. Therapist collaborates with all relevant internal/external systems/participants to ensure buy-in and cooperation, and to maximize effectiveness throughout treatment. Therapist regularly staffs cases with Supervisor; partners with CSIs/Paraprofessionals to align therapeutic objectives; and creates and provides monthly updates to key stakeholders. Therapist maintains clear documentation of treatment efforts to promote supervisory review and feedback. Therapist documents all work and submits notes within 48 hours of consumer visit or cancelled appointment; assesses cases within one week; properly discharges cases within two weeks; and requests additional authorization in a timely manner to avoid service disruption. Therapist participates in monthly agency, bi-monthly regional, and weekly supervision meetings. Therapist attends internal training meetings and external professional development opportunities to extend knowledge and remain current on best practices. Qualifications Masters degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field. Junior license (e.g., LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT) or full license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Georgia highly preferred. Candidates who are license-eligible in Georgiaand have a plan for and verified ability to obtain a junior license within 6 months of hirealso are considered. Substance abuse (CACI or II) certification is a plus. Two or more years of experience providing in-home, clinical treatment/therapeutic counseling. Training in industry accepted clinical assessment tools. Training and/or experience in evidence-based treatment models. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Documented experience working with at-risk children and families. Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse cultures. Flexible work schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends. Laptop, valid Georgia drivers license, vehicle, and ability and willingness to travel off site.
