Veterinary Receptionist

Company: Spring Street Veterinary Clinic
Location: Smyrna
Posted on: June 6, 2021

Job Description:

Job Description Town and Country South Veterinary Clinic is a small, growing clinic with a staff of under 15 people and only 2 doctors. Due to our size we are really able to get to know our clients and patients as well as give them the extra attention they may require. We are open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm. However, there is not a vet or full staff on Saturdays. Saturdays are more for clients to pick up medications or call in medications. If you are highly motivated and a team player then Town and Country South Vet Clinic may be the place for you! We are currently looking for a full time receptionist. The receptionist must be efficient and effective, be able to multi-task, and be able to provide a liaison between client and veterinarian. Being a receptionist at a veterinarians office is very different from most receptionist positions because you often do much more than file charts, answer phones, schedule appointments, write up prescription refill requests, etc. This position is very hands on and there is a lot of face to face client/patient interaction. We have a four line phone system and having excellent phone etiquette is a most. Some of the more general duties include answering phones and scheduling/canceling appoints, mail correspondence, file maintenance, and considerable knowledge about the services offered. This position is extremely fast paced and multi-tasking is an absolute must. The receptionist will also be required to write up prescription refills and requests and this must be done correctly each and every time. As a receptionist you will be required to check clients/patients in and then call their room to the back of the office in order to notify the other staff. We offer drop off options to our clients so it is not uncommon to have to check in a patient and then walk/carry them to the back and place them in a crate. It is extremely important that the receptionist be very comfortable and confident around animals. There is significant animal interaction on a daily basis. Mobility is important in this position because there is a lot of walking and standing. This is a full time position and will require you to work 7am-7pm every Saturday. Company Description Spring Street Veterinary Clinic is a small, growing clinic with a staff of under 10 people and only 1 doctors. Due to our size we are really able to get to know our clients and patients as well as give them the extra attention they may require. If you are highly motivated and a team player then Spring Street Veterinary Clinic may be the place for you!
