EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SUPERVISOR

General Purpose:
The Employee Relations Supervisor is responsible for facilitating and managing employee relations programs on behalf of the company; proactively maintains effective employee communications to promote employee satisfaction and ensure and support the smooth and efficient function of the GLOCK HR Employee Relations Section. Also serves in this capacity for GLOCK Professional, Inc. and G-Science.

Duties and Responsibilities: Many of the job requirements, but not all, are as follows: other duties may be assigned.

Employee Relations
--- Supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of assigned HR Team members.
--- Work with employees regarding questions, complaints and needs from Human Resources.
--- Investigate and resolve complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
--- Work with Compliance Supervisor (in both support and lead roles) to thoroughly investigate Title VII allegations, determine conclusion, and make appropriate recommendations.
--- Conduct employee surveys to ensure engagement and keep a pulse on employees and the work environment.
--- Research, recommend and facilitate approved additional employee programs that foster employee engagement, including employee recognition programs.
--- Create and plan employee events such as EE Appreciation Day, Christmas Party, etc., and other Team/Section events.
--- Work directly with department managers and supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters and assist with employee counseling, behavior, and performance matters.
--- Provide guidance to supervisory and human resources staff in developing objective employee performance evaluations.
--- Responsible for maintaining, developing policy recommendations and updates to GLOCK's EPH - Employment Policy Handbook.

Recruiting
--- Supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of Recruiter/s.
--- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the recruiting/hiring process.
--- Develop, implement, and facilitate all phases of the recruitment process.
--- Develop, implement, and facilitate efficient and effective recruiting methods.
--- Establish and maintain candidate database for recruiting.
--- With Hiring Manager, interview selected applicants and provide insight to Hiring Manager for his/her selection decision.
--- Collaborate with managers on open positions and the specific needs in applicants to assist in making the best selections.
--- Assist managers in the planning, creation, and implementation of job descriptions.
--- Daily, uses discretion and independent judgement in utilizing company funds to make purchases for the department.
--- Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources for job postings.

--- With Hiring Manager, interview selected applicants and provide insight to Hiring Manager for his/her selection decision.
--- Seek new and creative recruiting methods and avenues.
--- Conduct Hiring Manager debrief sessions and the selection/offer process.
--- Prepare and analyze recruiting reports; look for patterns and potential concerns and address accordingly.
--- Use creativity in recruiting strategies and events.

General HR
--- Review section invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
--- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
--- Provide support to the HR department, where and when needed.
--- Seek process improvements and additional responsibilities.
--- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resources.

Education and/or Experience:
Related four-year college degree and/or 5+ years of related experience and/or training;
PHR or similar certification is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License
Must successfully pass and maintain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) under TSA regulations

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type on keyboard, look at monitor and may lift objects more than 30 lbs.

Work Environment:
The work environment primarily requires the employee to work inside in a climate controlled administrative office setting and dress business casual in accordance with the GLOCK Employment Policy Handbook. Employee will work regularly scheduled shifts within the department's hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends, when needed for special assignments or programs. The work environment characteristics described here are representative, but not inclusive, of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Position Type:
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours, including weekends and occasional travel.
