Responsibilities:
Arrange client meetings to discuss legal strategies, evaluate
options, and work relentlessly to determine the best course of
action
Maintain an accurate record of the time and value you gave clients
so you can analyze what worked and what didn't, as well as what you
could do better in the future
Assign work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their
progress while assuming full responsibility for the outcome and
meeting all deadlines
Observe court hearings or other legal proceedings, conduct legal
research, and provide legal assistance to senior associate
attorneys
Compose letters and legal documents for contract discussions and
proceedings, such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits,
motions, depositions, and settlement agreements
--- Assisting senior attorneys: You will work closely with
experienced family law attorneys and provide support in various
aspects of their cases. This includes conducting legal research,
drafting legal documents, and preparing briefs.
--- Client communication: You will have regular interactions with
clients, both in-person and through written communication. You will
be responsible for gathering information from clients, discussing
case updates, and addressing their concerns.
--- Case preparation: You will be involved in the preparation of
family law cases, which may involve divorce, child custody, spousal
support, adoption, or other related matters. This includes
conducting interviews, gathering evidence, organizing documents,
and preparing case summaries.
--- Legal research and writing: You will be responsible for
conducting thorough legal research on family law issues, including
statutes, regulations, and case precedents. Based on your research,
you will draft legal memoranda, motions, and other legal documents
to support the case.
--- Court appearances and hearings: As a junior associate, you may
have the opportunity to attend court hearings, depositions, and
other legal proceedings with senior attorneys. This will give you
exposure to the courtroom environment and allow you to gain
practical experience.
--- Document review and analysis: You will be responsible for
reviewing and analyzing various legal documents, such as contracts,
agreements, financial records, and pleadings. This involves
identifying relevant information, assessing its impact on the case,
and preparing summaries for the legal team.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam and be
in good standing [[STATE/FEDERAL]] Bar Association
Understanding of confidentiality requirements
Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required
in order to work with clients, staff members, and senior
attorneys
Demonstrated experience practicing as an attorney

of Georgia.
