Pay: 16.00 hrly - General Description and Classification Standards The Summer Intern in Capital Delivery at the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) will work alongside our Capital Delivery team to gain hands-on experience in managing and executing infrastructure improvement projects throughout the city of Atlanta. This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of vital transportation infrastructure while learning from experienced professionals in the field. Supervision Received : Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. -Essential Duties & Responsibilities:1. Project Support: Assist project managers in the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects, including road construction, bridge maintenance, and traffic signal installations. -2. Documentation: Help maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and change orders. -3. Fieldwork: Participate in site visits to observe construction activities, conduct inspections, and document project progress. -4. Data Analysis: Analyze project data to track performance metrics, monitor project budgets, and identify areas for improvement. -5. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and city officials to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while adhering to regulatory requirements. -6. Reporting: Assist in preparing regular project status reports, presentations, and updates for departmental meetings and stakeholders. -7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline project delivery processes and improve efficiency within the Capital Delivery team. -8. Community Engagement: Support outreach efforts to engage with residents and stakeholders affected by capital projects, providing information and addressing concerns as needed.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:This internship provides valuable insights into the dynamic field of communications and offers hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. • Ability to have effective verbal and written communication. -
