The objective of an IP Data Analyst / Researcher is to support the delivery of our Corporate Brand Services team in protecting our clients brand names and other intellectual property in the domain name space, on websites, social media, app stores, and various online marketplaces around the world. You will spend most of your efforts analyzing active monitoring data and results, researching and collecting data and factual information to support our work in enforcing our clients intellectual property rights, preparing reports and audits, and identifying opportunities to provide value to our clients. Our clients consist of well known U.S. and international companies, public and private, who own some of the worlds most well known brands, as well as smaller and growing emerging brands around the world. You will liaise with our account executive team to identify opportunities to help our clients combat misuse of their brands and trademarks in the online space. Youll have a direct impact in helping us shut down cybersquatters and scammers on the web who attempt to profit off of, confuse, or mislead consumers through illegitimate and illegal methods. Come help us make the internet a safer place for all. This position reports to our Corporate Counsel and is a part of the Corporate Brand Services team. This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, exemplary attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and strong administrative and multi-tasking abilities. A high level of accountability and reliability is required. General Responsibilities Track, organize, analyze and distribute results of online corporate brand monitoring Assess areas of opportunities for corporate portfolios and online brand protection Assist in the compilation and analysis of large data collections and synthesized reports Review domain name data for portfolio issues and provide recommendations Analyze differences and discrepancies of annual and semi-annual changes of reports/data set versions Implement technical methods to identify significant information relating to domain names (including DNS, backend operations, hosting services, etc.) Required Qualifications 2 years of experience with domain names, trademarks and intellectual property, legal research activities, data analysis, marketing, or other related fields. Proficient in data review, input and working with detailed data sets Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and Sheets Personal Skills Required Self-starter and thrives in autonomous environments.
