The Production Planner / Inventory Manager will be responsible for planning/scheduling chemical batch production of multiple product lines based on customer requested shipment dates. This individual will provide reasonably accurate lead times for products based on raw material receipts and asset availability to the Customer Service Team and will work closely with Production and Purchasing to effectively plan production to maximize asset utilization. This individual will also monitor product inventories to support the warehouse staff in properly planning upcoming shipments.

Key Responsibilities :
Plan/Schedule chemical batch production based on asset availability, raw material availability, and customer requested goods receipt dates.
Monitor raw material inventories for production planning and work with purchasing team to ensure minimal lost production due to raw materials availability.
Plan a product allocation strategy with Sales Management monthly based on raw material and asset availability.
Provide feedback to Customer Service Representatives for reasonable lead times on product shipments based on sales orders.
Track upcoming product shipments versus current inventories and production scheduling to ensure shipments leave the site on time.
Develop and maintain an effective inventory management system for routine cycle counts.
Be knowledgeable of cycle times, reactor cleanouts, maintenance activities, raw material lead times and other variables for effective production planning strategies.
Manage a tracking system for raw material inventories, product inventories, and production scheduling.

Education : BS Degree preferably in science or engineering or business degree in warehouse/inventory management.
Experience : Preferably 3+ years in production planning. Chemical production planning experience strongly desired.
Preferred Skills : SAP, Excel
