Shipping & Receiving Technician
Description of Duties:
RefrigerantSide Service: Working under the supervision of the
Facilities Manager the Shipping & Receiving Technician assists in
the initial set up for each job, helps organize necessary
resources, transports equipment and/or products to job locations
and provides the labor necessary to per form the job.
Training: The Shipping & Receiving Technician will attend and
successfully complete a prescribed training program a Hudson's
Headquarters. Upon Completion of the initial training course the
Shipping & Receiving Technicians training continues under the
direction of the Facilities Manager, who will use a combination of
experience and on the job training ensuring that Shipping &
Receiving Technicians are well versed in all aspects and techniques
of RefrigerantSide Services. Shipping & Receiving Technicians will
receive periodic performance evaluations by the Facilities
Manager.
Equipment Maintenance/Repair: The Shipping & Receiving Technician
performs routine and required maintenance for all equipment. This
includes but is not limited to vehicles, compressors, vacuum pumps,
electric motors, welding equipment, hand tools, high pressure
hoses, etc.
Shipping/Receiving: Shipping & Receiving Technicians will prepare
shipping documents, properly classify freight, ship and receive
hazardous and non-hazardous materials under the supervision of the
Facilities Manager.
Waste Management: Shipping & Receiving Technicians are involved in
the record keeping, consolidation and proper storage and shipment
of solid waste and waste oils generated at the Depot facility or on
job sites.
Qualifications:
Class B drivers' license with hazmat & air brake endorsement within
90 days of hire and capable of driving a manual transmission.
Basic refrigerant recovery, electrical and welding skills
Background in Chiller and/or Industrial Refrigeration a plus.
Summary of Shipping/Receiving responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks with forklift
Pick, stage and transport job order material for production
Pack orders and ship according to MIL-STD set in contract or at
customer request.
Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products
in areas outlined by site map.
Upon receipt of loads, S&R must fill out appropriate paperwork
and turn in to the office at earliest convenience.
When not loading or unloading trucks, S&R will work along side
Order Processing team to help ensure the correct product is being
pulled for orders and shipping labels are placed correctly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Certified forklift operator
Assists in the maintenance of part count accuracy of inventory
materials and finished goods, including monthly cycle counts
Regular rotations between Shipping and Receiving
responsibilities
Work safely, quickly, and efficiently with little supervision
High attention to detail specifically in regard to quality
Ability to stand for 8 hours per day
Ability to lift 100 pounds unassisted periodically
Good communication with workers in the plant that need material
moved and drivers that need loaded/unloaded

In order to be successful in this fast pace Shipping and Receiving
Department you must have had prior experience on the above listed
duties and responsibilities. This position starts at $20/hr for
first shift M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm
Job Type: Full-time working from our Mattis Avenue and Interstate
Drive locations in Champaign.

Shipping And Receiving: 2 years (Required)
Hazmat certified (Preferred but not Required)
